This hit close to my heart. Up until 2007 I really didnt know about anything trans while feeling devastated I wasnt born a girl. It wasnt till I found community in Second Life that I knew being me was possible. Im thankful to them and to the broader trans community. Community is here to stay.

I’m a former founding board member to a lgbt resource center in a red state. Trust me you have power outside of voting. Get involved with your local government, volunteer, go to school board meetings, find out when your reps are available and go speak directly to them. Be strong and survive.
