On this day in 1974, Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells went to No.1 for the first time on the UK album chart, 15 months after being released (partly because part of it featured in the film The Exorcist). It went on to sell over 10 million copies worldwide. #TubularBells #MikeOldfield

when I see a post like this in a thread that I'm not participating in, from a user I'm highly unlikely to ever have a reason to interact with organically, blocking them for it is still an exhilarating breath of fresh air~

"who cares? you gotta assume almost every game being developed now has some form of AI coding in it. I get being upset when AI art shows up, but I dont think anyone really cares at this point about Ai coding..."

if you've always felt a little "different", but never taken the time to figure out exactly HOW you're different, now's the time. whether it's a formal diagnosis (if you feel safe getting one) or talking with other neurodivergent friends, figure out what you need to feel "normal" & implement it Now

My current favorite detail in Petal Crash 2 is the cycling likes/dislikes for each of the characters. I, too, dislike CAUGHT

hi, i want to boost this but i need to push back here: there is no such thing as "AI-Assisted Projects done responsibly." every vibe coder thinks they are being responsible, because they just outsourced the stuff they don't care about to an AI. there is *no* responsible way to use this tech, period

this is especially true in larger communities but in smaller ones, the tacit acceptance of even a short discussion leaves the door open for everyone else on the server to assume that they will be helping the conversation by saying "I don't like it either" but in their own words

allowing people to rehash "LLMs are bad" discourse in friendly spaces that do not have a dedicated channel or thread for it is completely unnecessary, unproductive, and frankly rude imo

without being able to read non-English I can only say I'm very tired of every new announcement having to be a research & literacy test just because some people -- whether they're corporate, media, "influencer" or translator -- think people need to hear the word "AI" in order for it to be important.
