California hasn’t banned the death penalty because the voters amended the constitution through a proposition to legalize it. Voters also removed 3 of the state Supreme Court justices that had banned it in the courts. People have tried new propositions and they’ve failed

I mean are when are ppl going to blame the right ppl for once? The ballot measure failed in 2016, and Newsom put a stop to executions after that though ppl are still on death row. CA hasn’t executed someone since 2006. Start blaming the voters who voted against banning it & republicans.

Because Californian voters overruled California Democrats who do overwhelmingly oppose the death penalty and have worked to prevent it from being used, over the protests of said voters. Which is good, and they should do it, but does make this claim incredibly stupid.

The NYPD just released surveillance video of the ICE shooting (which occurred off camera). Two men in civilian clothes run up to a car with guns drawn. One second later, one man begins smashing the butt of his gun into the driver’s side window. The driver appears to panic and hit the gas.
