April '26 Claude Moore Five Early Voting Days
Here we go again - this time we greet our neighbors at a rare Special Election to amend our VA Congressional map. In a nutshell: across the country, Trump and MAGA-controlled legislatures are taking unprecedented steps to redraw congressional maps — without voter approval — to rig upcoming elections. As states like Texas, Ohio, North Carolina, and soon Florida move forward, Virginians face the real risk of having our voices diminished in Washington. This amendment gives Virginians the power to act — before it’s too late. Our task is to encorage everyone to Vote YES by April 21. Sign up for a 2-hour shift to meet 'n greet Loudoun voters who will be casting a ballot on Saturday, April 11, then mid-week Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday then lastly on Saturday, April 18. We will be under our Blue Tent in the parking lot as a visual sign that the Claude Moore Rec Center is OPEN 9 am to 5 pm to Vote Early on Saturdays. Times vary mid week from 10 am opening Wednesday to later openings Tuesday and Thursdays! (Yes, it is a lot to remember!) This election is a simple YES or NO question. There are no candidates running. Just one amendment. So think of your shift as more of an Information Booth for Loudoun Democrats. (The Republicans may or may not be out there too!) THE COURT: . . . let’s say that instead of revising the vaccine schedule, the CDC said, actually, we think measles is good for you; you should go have lunch with someone with measles, and we are sponsoring measles lunches in every city, come have some measles lunch, that would seem to — that would seem to go right up against the goal of preventing communicable diseases. Would such a policy by the CDC be judicially reviewable?
[DEFENSE COUNSEL:] I think that would still be committed to agency discretion by law.
THE COURT: So even if what the agency was saying is we like communicable diseases and we think you should get more of them, that’s not judicially reviewable.
[DEFENSE COUNSEL:] No.
