Hey, remember when we all went through a global lockdown? 💔 In 2021, Giraffe Tapes kindly released ‘Again Begin’; a fairly dark, heavily textured album processing the anxieties of supposedly coming out the other side of that.

there’s something very intimate in tape hiss. it’s like being let into a little secret. perhaps that stems from a nostalgic feeling from mixtapes and other shared tapes. i dunno. anyway. i like this one. #ambientjam #ambientmusic #tapeloops #tapenoise #nostalgia #hauntology

This morning's walk through the cool shady woods. main loops are from the tape used in the last jam but played at higher speed (and pitch) in the Tascam 414. tried to keep it minimal for a little bit of peaceful escape.

Not too bad a night’s work! making #tapeloop orders for my etsy shop ticks all those DIY band merch boxes but it’s even better cuz i get to make the thing every time 😄

Do you know why people who find out they are autistic do this? It’s a request for kindness and understanding before doing or saying something which will be perceived as odd. It’s also a way to understand ourselves, having just received a new word to describe how we’ve been our entire lives

i must have filmed a million overhead wires by now but yesterday, perhaps because i’ve been mulling over concepts for #fawm something clicked and i remembered that cup and string experiment we maybe did at a school? #soundexperiments #experimentalmusic #ambientmusic #soundexploration
