Since we're talking about pianists - one pianist who called 911 for help, Michael Townsend, was shot and killed by PPB because he was holding a tool, kind of like a screwdriver, and walking toward them. Portland settled a wrongful death lawsuit for just over $1 million.

WHEREAS, the case involves the use of deadly force by Portland police that led to the death of Michael Townsend on June 24, 2021.

WHEREAS, the trial court’s judgment was in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $1,030,661.00, and that verdict is accruing post-judgment interest at the rate of 9% per annum while on appeal.

Overall, I'd say he's generally standard Charismatic evangelical and tries to be encouraging on his videos. It was a little weird when his did his "ministry" videos while wearing his security outfit and badge.

I learned that Parkrose Hardware is owned by Central Network Retail Group, which is owned by Orgill, a huge hardware distribution company based out of Tennessee. They love what Trumps been doing with the "Big Beautiful Bill" and recently hosted a GOP hearing at their building.

I should note that even though the Nordstrom Rack moved, there main Nordstrom building is right down the street and there are other Rack locations in Portland. It's not the end of the world if a company closes one of it's two storefronts within a few blocks of each other.

The building she used to show the businesses have left Portland is the downtown Nordstrom Rack that closed in January 2026. Just down the street is the new Nike flagship store that opened in November 2025. Some business move out, some move in.

Each of us was trained in Bokendo, a Japanese stick-fighting technique. When our team arrived at an incident and exited the transport bus we would march in strict order in a loud foot-stomping cadence as we moved forward. At this point, the lesser committed members of the mob would begin to run. Some of these violent mobs numbered in the thousands. As the crowd began to run, we never broke ranks or lost the sound of our marching cadence. We didn’t run. The saying at the time was “a single team of five Crowd Control Unit members can put a thousand to flight.” Our training, team unity, and confident appearance were enough to put an end to some of these riots.

Our team reminds us of how we can appear to the enemy when as a Church we are well-trained as noted by Paul in Ephesians 4 when we sit under the instruction of the five equipping gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher. David reminds us of what our training in spiritual warfare will accomplish. “He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle. (Psalm 144:1).
