I’ve reached an age where tramping around muddy fields has got a certain appeal, I’ve been looking at the hobby. From what I can see in social media there are two camps, one is treasure the other is fascination. It was a local field where the Lenborough hoard was found. Fascinating

Hegseth is now the Secretary of War, which is fitting I guess as RFK jr is basically the Secretary of Pestilence. We just need Famine and Death to round it out.

Same ole same ole. Age starting to take its toll I think. Certainly feeling it at the moment. Wife OK. Kids good. GCSE season so some stress but the other is at Uni so it’s quieter. Nothing to report which is good.

Oh dear. You’d been laid off the once when last we spake. You had something lined up. Things a bit poo in NZ at the mo. Ginger beer is not beer. I miss brewing so much but haven’t had a beer since October 22, 2022

Found out last week that an old family friend, via my brother, is now divorced. He worked so very very hard to set up a home, trained, qualified etc. now he has a decent wage and was just settling it’s all in tatters. Amicable and unavoidable

And I’m sure their hopes would have been for things to have improved since their time.

Sense of taste and smell still to return. Still, on the plus side, it means I’m not tasting the blood which appears to be continuously streaming from my nasal cavities down my throat. Happy Sunday everyone lol

What’s the betting, Trump allows TikTok to resume, as long as it reflects his political insanity?

Interesting feedback on ChatGPT last night. It can be used to mark subjects like History and Geography previous papers. Tell it the board, paper and questions and it uses the marking scheme. Checked by teachers, on average add a mark and it’s right. Good to know

I hope all of this is being documented in a way that whatever aliens find our dead planet can use.

Among the drams listed on this astronomical Fife Arms bar bill were fifteen 25 ml glasses of Balvenie 50-year-old at £4,500 each (total cost £67,500) and ten 25 ml glasses of 1940s Laphroaig at £4,000 each (total cost £40,000). Without these extravagances, the bill would have been £107,500 lower. 🥃🤯

Shrinking is so beautifully written. How many folk does it take to get such a perfect balance?
