Ruaa's mum is in very poor health. Medical care in Gaza is nearly nonexistent, so she relies on us to provide funds for 'home' care (which is to say, a flimsy tent). Ruaa's fundraising goal is very modest, and she's almost there; let's get her the rest of the way 💪 🌿 chuffed.org/project/help...

Ruaa is 83% of the way to her fundraising goal.

the 287th hunter exam!! i looove how playful this arc is 🥺

On the left, small items are stacked with a clover at the top, fish smiling, hunter license card, and chocolate robot at the bottom. On the right, the image is of Killua Zoldyck and Gon Freecs wrapping their arms around each other looking cheerful. Background is a teal sky with white birds and clouds.

Top image is Leorio, Gon, Killua, and Kurapika exhausted with scratches on their faces and leaves on their heads. The text reads, "SIGH...". Bottom image shows the same four characters bantering. The dialogue bubble coming from Killua says, "BAAAAKA"

From left to right: Chibis of Killua skateboarding, Gon holding his fishing rod, boar chewing on a bone, Kurapika glaring with his judgment chain out, Leorio talking on the phone, and an oval image of the whole group posing with kiriko monsters showing mixed emotions.

Ruaa (@itsmeio.bsky.social) has been active on bsky and fundraising now for god knows how many months (you’ve seen her around) and her account is *still* being reported and marked as spam. She is lonely and worried no one is seeing her posts. She’s also so so close to her goal !! gofund.me/a017fdd4

Ruaa is 92% of the way to her fundraising goal.

A world without Trans people has never existed, and it never will. More than visibility, we need safety 🏳️‍⚧️

Portait of a woman covered in sludge. Only her arms are uncovered. But within the sludge, her face and body are partially visible, revealing a floral pattern on her face and body, pink and white flowers on blue background. This is a repaint of an illustration I did a decade ago. In the original there in equal sign superimposed at the bottom of the canvas. The equal sign is still there, but it is empty now.

so do we think this blanket is disco or what

Picture of a woven blanket / tapestry with a design inspired by Disco Elysium. Harry Du Bois cries a single tear while Kim Kitsuragi lifts a hand in the fashion of Dolores Dei. The borders are kind of collage style. There is a lot of red.

Zelda Williams (the daughter of the great Robin Williams) sure had a lot to say about the “Studio Ghibli style” AI images that have been trending recently. I think those people should read these posts and really think about what they’re doing.

They fucking disappeared Hamdan Ballal. Sheer impunity, knowing the US isn't going to say shit. "As he was being treated in an ambulance, soldiers detained him and a second Palestinian man, the [Center for Jewish Nonviolence] said. It said his whereabouts were now unknown."

Oscar-winning Palestinian director is attacked by Jewish settlers and detained, activists say

Activists say Israeli settlers beat up one of the Palestinian co-directors of the Oscar-winning film “No Other Land” in the occupied West Bank, and he was then detained by the Israeli military.

Hossam Shabat, a 23 year old journalist who documented the genocide of his people left a final message. shared by his team.

screenshot of @HossamShabat on twitter: This is Hossam’s team, and we are sharing his final message :

“If you’re reading this, it means I have been killed—most likely targeted—by the Israeli occupation forces. When this all began, I was only 21 years old—a college student with dreams like anyone else. For past 18 months, I have dedicated every moment of my life to my people. I documented the horrors in northern Gaza minute by minute, determined to show the world the truth they tried to bury. I slept on pavements, in schools, in tents—anywhere I could. Each day was a battle for survival. I endured hunger for months, yet I never left my people’s side.

By God, I fulfilled my duty as a journalist. I risked everything to report the truth, and now, I am finally at rest—something I haven’t known in the past 18 months . I did all this because I believe in the Palestinian cause. I believe this land is ours, and it has been the highest honor of my life to die defending it and serving its people.

I ask you now: do not stop speaking about Gaza. Do not let the world look away. Keep fighting, keep telling our stories—until Palestine is free.”

— For the last time, Hossam Shabat, from northern Gaza.

been getting yakuza pilled recently

A page full of sketches from characters of the Yakuza video game series. on the top right we see a young Majima in his ponytail looking off to the side startled by something. Next to him Oda holds a smoke up with his right hand, looking off to the side in slight annoyance. Next to him is a drawing of Saeijima (bald) looking a little peeved. Next to him is a bust of Daigo during Y2, he is scowling off to the side and has non-canon piercings on his eyebrow and ear. Next to him is a bust drawing of Majima from m his time in the hole, his right eye missing and bloody. He looks down with a snarl. In the row of sketches under from left to right again: a bust of Daigo wearing women's clothing and makeup like in Dead Souls. A sketch of Kiryu looking down and to the side with a small smile. 2 drawings of Diago in his emo days wearing Ed Hardy. Saejima in his parka (bald again) smiling softly. Majima in his Hawaii get up slightly covering his mouth with one hand and the other in a shaka sign.

If you have a voice, use it. especially those with 5k+ followers. Tumblr, twitter, instagram. this is about more than keeping families connected, people need to be aware of what's happening. if you are in the arts industry in the capacity of a public figure, it's time to speak up.
