Flash floods hit northern Nepal on Sunday, sweeping away buildings and at least one bridge along the Budhi Gandaki River. The torrent comes just weeks after a devastating flood on the border with Tibet that killed more than a thousand people.

It took a team of AP reporters about 2 days to get this information. The same information ICE could have gotten before they hired the man who said he shot and killed an immigrant in Maine.
In late 2025, around the time he joined ICE, his ex-wife Ashley said he left a three-minute voicemail mocking her for taking out a restraining order against him. According to the message she shared with AP, he repeatedly called her "disgusting" and suggested that she and the other women and girls in her "bloodline" should die.
"And all of you should have your f----g throats cut," the voicemail said. "Yeah, you should. Am I threatening that I'm gonna do that? Nope. Nope. But do I think that you should have your f——-g throats cuts? Or should have had them cut? Yep."

Well that blows the 3.5% target outta the water. And demonstrates its truth: you don’t need majority of the population engaged to affect structural change, but you do need sustained action that includes but goes beyond protest and, crucially, includes noncooperation techniques.
