One day, hopefully soon, I won't have to wake up to all this. So tired of everything. And fuck autocorrect.

If only my retirement fund (aka the random occasional lotto ticket) would finally kick in. If I won a million or two I would probably just move out to a house in the woods, have a quiet existence. Be active in my local area, small footprint, live lightly. One can dream...

Oh went to the doc yesterday, she agreed that I've been pushing myself too hard and taking on too much and hence my body shutting down. 🫠 I need to remember that I've been over taxing my body for most of my life: major depression, masking in front of everyone, not resting or asking for help. 💔

Logged into #NewWorld for the first time in about two years. I've put 2,350 hours in it most from the years following its release. I'm upset that it's closing down, it had a lot of potential and was fun for what it was. #Amazon decisions (not the devs) seemed to be what the problem was.

Also I don't know why? I've not been masking nearly as much, I've been getting decent sleep, feeding myself, outside time. It could have to do with waking my roommate's dog twice a day for the last few weeks bc my roommate had a heart attack and then emergency surgery. Plus every house chore. 🫠

Major crash out last night at work. Got basically nothing done at the busiest store in our district. Guess where I am tonight: same store. It's a struggle for me to walk upstairs idk how I'm going to work for 10 hours on my feet. Not even the last day I work this week. 🪦

The saying "when one door closes another one opens" has an opposite meaning too. When you go through a new door you often close it behind you, so you can't go back to where you were. Sometimes I want to go back more than I want new doors to open up. But that's just me being "too sensitive."

They can pick any other of hundreds of functional universes, and yet they still go back to boring mcnothingsville. They should read the #Scholomance trilogy by #NaomiNovik, which is how magic actually would be. Dangerous simply being a magic user. And normal people are "mundane", which fits.

Finally back in state, taking a Lyft to and from the airport is the smartest thing for me. Not having to put that much extra energy into driving to, parking at, and then driving from the airport is the literal best. And I started doing this before I was diagnosed AuDHD! 😂

One thing I really didn't miss from when I was in college was telling drunk people no, I in fact did not want to do that, and no I was not going to do it. Probably why even from a young age I understood how drunk people were at someone saying no. Really glad to be going home tomorrow.

The main way in which AI has negatively impacted games industry jobs is not through actual automation of those jobs or even untrue claims about automation. It's by making capital unavailable because it's tied up in AI investments while also destroying the consumer base for video game hardware.
