I feel like I'm in a weird point in my life, artistically. Confident, but MAN do I feel self-conscious about my older work. I wouldn't get rid of it because it shows how much I've progressed (about 6 years on my FA!), but it does mess with me a bit.

It used to be like this for Twitter, Reddit, etc too (and it IS like this for Mastodon). API costs drove out third-party clients, and it really compounded the issues for those platforms - so use 'em here while you can, the goal usuallt is to at least TRY to be a little better in some way.

This is my time to tell y'all that you can use other BlueSky clients. I just use one bookmarked in my phone's browser. I'm bringing it up because the ongoing site issues are nonexistent on my end, and some clients have stuff y'all want like grid view for other folk's media.

I like gallery sites more than social media for my art, because it's good to have it all laid out in one place and easily searchable (though FA sucks at that too, for anything over a few years old, it seems). But once I've put something in the gallery it's Dead, and it feels like you could fix that.

Just gimme a button that lets me push an image back into peoples' notifications and I think a lot of folks would dig it. Especially if there was a built-in option to turn that feature off per artist in case someone pushes things more often than you'd like!

what gallery sites like FA could use is a feature to let us re-share art we've already posted. Here on bsky I can just hit a button and it's back on your timelines, but on FA I have to either post it again (no) or make a journal reminding you (for like, comm openings and such). Both options suck!

Remember when Facebook killed like 4 different websites by lying about their video numbers. I think you can just look around. People don't post to thread..... threads. People don't screen caps of funny threads posts. Even if the numbers are semi accurate, it's not going to serve you.

🚨 KOSA UPDATE The added "duty of care" standard would force websites to identify minors to avoid legal risk, pushing the internet toward ID checks, facial scans, mass age-gating, excessive data collection and censorship FOR EVERYONE. Next comes a full Senate vote. Contact your senators NOW. (1/2)

The SCREEN Act is not just another age-verification bill — it goes much further than anything passed at the state-level or in other countries. 1. The bill doesn't just target porn sites. It goes after *any* site that allows material "harmful" to minors. You'd have to scan your face to use Google.
