With Crimson Desert dropping soon, it's amazing how many AI Slop 'game guides' are offered for sale on Amazon. I counted 17 of them. It bemuses me why both Amazon and Pearl Abyss seem to think this is ok. I used to like Game Guides but I suspect those days have gone (AI Slop excepted).

Enjoying the 10-year-old game Mafia III. For an open world romp where you tackle thugs, drug dealers, corrupt law enforcement, bigoted media influencers, bought judges, white supremacists and unhinged politicians, it ticks a lot of boxes and gives sobering insight into the late 1960's. 🫢

The best halloween costume I ever had was a full grim reaper costume. Accompanying my daughters & other kids I had practiced a gliding walk and would stand stock still at the end of each drive with my scythe while the kids filled up. Apparently I scared the kids and was told never to do that again.

Darn, I usually buy Xbox versions of multi-platform games (I have both consoles). But with Xbox's brand looking shaky, I cancelled * 007 First Light and will go with the PS version. ** * very easy as they don't charge until launch. ** much closer to launch because they do charge immediately.

Not excusing game executives for treating employees poorly. However, toxic creators who dump on decent games as being 'garbage' for outrage clicks damage gaming. Quirky, diverse or 7/10 games get cancelled if they are not obvious winners in this political environment. Very unhealthy situation. 🫤

One of the fine (nearly 300 yr) traditions in the UK is today's King's parade (Trooping The Colour) on the monarch's official birthday. Many countries (and even despots) have military marches and parades, but for sheer class and dignified respect, I think the Brits have this down as an art form. 😎
