The internet does have a habit of deeming others guilty because of gossip or malicious popularity contests. I am not immune to making mistakes or bad calls, I'm only human, and humans constantly have to communicate, learn, and choose to be better.

Its a big debate whether it should even be allowed as a valid form of exploring one's own trauma. I'm not some philosopher. I'm a dude who is trying his best not to tell others they're wrong for how they process shit, and who doesn't wanna assume somebody is a predator without first seeing proof.

Whatever reasoning, what mightve been a road paved w good intentions (warning others about a bad actor in the community) lead to so many being retraumatized and witch hunted. In that moment of protectiveness and anger for those I thought had been wrongly accused in the confusion I messed up.

Only that a friend was targeted and hurt because of some artist-that to my knowledge, neither of us really knew-who had drawn CSA, attended a public event of theirs. A claim was made against them they were allowing/okay with this in an attack that spread n hurt so many others.

this is not to say that there isn’t use, worth, and substance to these demonstrations. but anything with a branding team and a rsvp system is defanged by default, and automatically hostile to the most vulnerable. I hope everyone’s politics extend beyond “no kings.” how about no settlers?

Kids Next Door really was a buckwild show. I like how the early villains were like themed around what kid spies would fight (overzealous dentists, a pirate who steals candy, a guy who gets you sick) but later they were like "uh he's the cheese shogun. He's a shogun. And he really likes cheese."
