In 2014–15, Chris Atchison's S3 study at UVic surveyed 1,133 people who buy sexual services in Canada — then the largest voluntary sample of its kind. The mobility data stuck with me. Never became a paper. So I rebuilt it as an interactive map: sociologix.ca/canada-clients 1/3
Screenshot of the Client Mobility Network from sociologix.ca, showing [cities visible — e.g., "Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Ottawa, and smaller regional centres"] as nodes on a dark-background map of Canada. Lines between nodes show movement between where respondents live and where they most often buy sexual services. Brightest nodes — [name them] — indicate the highest purchasing activity. Several nodes carry dashed rings marking in-city purchasing. Edges taper from thin at origin to thick at destination. [Note any prominent visible flows.] Filters for venue, sexuality, age, and buyer experience appear in the side panel, with a per-capita toggle currently [on/off].

Most literature search tools make you guess the right keyword. This one lets you follow the research. The Sex Industry Research Network: a free, interactive map of global research on sex work, sex industries, and trafficking. 47,880 papers · 62,296 authors · 178,577 connections 1/3
Screenshot of the Sex Industry Research Networks tool from sociologix.ca. The header shows a search bar with the query "clients" and filter chips for "clients" and "8 doc types." Below is a dark-background network graph of researchers shown as colored nodes connected by curving lines, with larger nodes labeled by name. Visible cluster labels include "Injecting Drug Use / Hiv Risk Practices," "Condom Promotion / African Prostitutes," "Seronegative Prostitutes / Mucosal Immunity," and "Sexual Histories." A toggle at the bottom-left shows "Author" and "2 Degree" selected. Bottom navigation shows Stats, Legend, Settings, and Share.
