I am disappointed that TBS and TNT have moved all of their SPORTS PROGRAMS off of the ad-supported basic plan at HBO MAX. now I have to wait and watch replays because I'm not shelling out another $8 a month for the next plan up... 😔 Also, sorry to hear that OC and the Conglomeration didn't win. 😔

They have Golden Girls action figures because when I think Golden Girls I think action. Also they’re 80 bucks for some reason

I can tell that you have never paid attention to the band beyond this exchange - which, for that matter they are CONDEMNING Q-anon, not loving it. And they are appealing to Trump, not supporting him.

Not me! I downloaded the latest Gentle Hen track on bandcamp and will play it on SOCIETY'S BASEMENT in the not-too-distant future!!

This post has been reported as harassment. There is NO truth to this band being racist. I've been a fan for over a decade. Their songs are about fighting capitalism and authoritarianism, not about hating black people.

@thebandcake.bsky.social hey John! I was just listening to "Sinking Ship", and MAN I'm pretty sure you are just singing AT me. This ship WILL Float. And everything IS going to be fine.... Because you can't sink imagination, and you can't stop love. (sincerely, That Society's Basement Guy)

I'll probably never have as many followers on Bluesky as I did on Twitter, but at least I know the ones here are real.

Very cool art. I like the casual poke at The Bipartisan Trap in the background, and also ABSOLUTELY agree with the contrast. Reagan was a good man.... Who knew NOTHING about Economics. Which is why his bipartisan advisors were able to fool HIM into the Trickle Down idea.

You probably won't even see this, John McCrea - but if you do, remember this... Sheep don't get to heaven by following orders, but by following their little sheep hearts.

Look, John - I love you and I appreciate what you are trying to do, but guilt-tripping people into feeling like they "aren't doing their part" - that's not it. That turns people away from you, when you approach them with preconceived criticism like this.

Starting in March, new episodes of Society's Basement will be appearing again on the airwaves, as the show has been continually supported through many versions, periods, and hiatuses - by good friends like MG of DWR.MGZCOM.NET, where the basement still airs in repeats daily. Huzzah!

Well.... This is interesting, because this is really the first time I've used Bluesky as a "publicity instrument" rather than a means to keep in touch with various friends and creators.

Understandable. My issue with capitalism is mostly with corporate lobbying in government - not record sales. 😊

There's active backlash against AI art among electronic/experimental musicians around NY. A venue just announced they won't accept any AI flyers. A performer on a bill I put together announced he won't play if the flyer is AI.

Urgent: We, "Mark Of The Music", decided to #donate 💯 earnings from digital music platform revenues this month to the charities assisting with the California wildfire victims. The issues won't disappear the moment fires are quiched. It took YEARS to rebuild New Orleans neighborhoods.
