It's Dangerous to go Alone is back and better than EVER! IDTGA is a solo-registration tournament where you enter alone, and you get placed onto a team that is balanced out against all other teams within your division, so there is always a chance of you winning every game! youtu.be/ZYNN6GIkHkY

This was the first tourney I ever played in back in 2018. It’s where we should be directing folks when they come to the IPL server and say “I don’t have a team what do I do” you go play in this.

Petition for the collective to stop moralizing "meta" and "off-meta" and perhaps stop using those terms as personality traits or descriptors as a whole and we instead just play the video game.

Some quick sketches of my favorite 'mons 💛 #pokemon #art #sketchbook

A sketchpage with multiple Pokemon displayed. An Espeon hovers in the top righthand corner, looking at the viewer. In the bottom righthand corner, a Furfrou & Skitty look off to the side happily. Off to the left, there is a pleased-looking Sealeo. In the bottom left, a Maractus is snug inside a flower pot, waving at the viewer.

A sketch of the Pokemon, Maractus, thoroughly enjoying a Pokepuff treat.

Perhaps a hot take, but I think it’s not good to have the kind of intense emotional attachment to a piece of media that fandom encourages.

Part of my own growth over time (especially as someone who likes to give advice, both in splatoon and other competitive endeavors) is a concious focus on "backing myself up" - if I can't articulate why i think something is my stance try to find resources that do, or don't say it at all

Really need more people to learn the art of shutting up when it's not their business and frankly irresponsible for them to be speaking so confidently on something they don't have the full story on.

Let this be a lesson to younger Splatoon players to please learn how to read between the lines. You do not need to form and vocalize your opinion on something the moment you find out about it. Especially if you don’t have all the context.

the fact that so many people frame autism as “a problem that needs to be solved” is a constant reminder that being “not normal” isn’t acceptable to a large amount of the world. it’s the same reason there’s a trans panic right now too. they think people are defective

I am not going to post much about the Splat Safety video on events between Gem and Six; I think one reason this became as bad as it did was due to unrelated parties' involvement. The one thing I'll say is that we need to stop treating these incidents as sports matches with a team you root for.

boycotting youtube would be largely ineffective because of how widely it’s used (home to news networks, multiple vtuber agencies and creators with massive audiences). it’s more effective to put pressure on the advertisers, try speaking up at vidcon or protesting in front of the HQ

Also just a brief note when we talk about "playing faster" a lot of it carries the same energy as "just stop feeding" there's a million different ways to speed up the game and 90% of them are not strictly better. Going faster the right way requires understanding of a lot of other mechanics.

"I think the reason the west lost to JP is becau-" I appreciate your input, however, do you honestly believe the the best players in the west got to where they are by not thinking? not experimenting? not challenging themselves? not practicing with the best they can?

I'm ngl all the comments on sws about "the west can't keep pace" or "the gap is really that big huh" and the sense of defeatism coming from literally bystanders makes me feel ill. Just let these people play the game and get the experience. Ofc we're struggling- we hardly fight japan.

As per usual I’ve said it for years been the best in west scene not current best but still top we CANNOT beat jp just practicing amongst ourselves it’s just impossible was back then still is now. Need exp vs them just playtime but whatever barriers make that hard-impossible so gg
