A bloated dictator being carried on the shoulders of a taxpayer says it all. King of Injustice, the perfect description of the orange windbag.

Just the one fire in Summerland B.C. cost 313 million in property and car damage alone. What happens when insurance becomes unaffordable or unavailable? What will happen with mortgages without insurance?

Exactly. We are once again the giant piggy bank that will benefit the few to the detriment of the many. Why are so many Canadians cheering him on?

We may be facing unprecedented further extreme weather due to El Nino through 2027. Carney tells us we can't afford to meet our climate goals, I don't think we can afford not to.

If a pipeline is such a great idea why aren't the big O & G companies offering to pay the cost? Are we going to be subsidizing their profits? By the time the pipeline is built the use of fossil fuels will have declined and like the last pipeline we paid for, it won't make enough to pay that debt.

We mandate seatbelts to save lives. We mandate education to build futures. Why don't we mandate forest restoration to save the planet? Bare land should be illegal when we have the seeds to heal it.

In B.C. Canada clearcuts are replaced by planted mono cultures that are sprayed with glyphosate to eliminate and competition. That should be illegal, we should be planting a new forest that duplicates the one that was removed.

We got no fault because of the cost of endless litigation. The majority of us will pay quite a lot more and it will be because of the cost of lawsuits. Most car insurance is now no fault to keep premiums affordable.

This will benefit no one but the lawyers. With costs for everything rising, car insurance going up as well is the last thing we need.

I don't think that much of anything will survive if we continue with the wars and endless use of O & G. Earth will become unlivable, humans included. Millions of tons of greenhouse gases, toxins, heavy metals and chemicals are being spewed into the environment everyday, just from the wars.

It was a good speech, I actually believe that for religious reasons they have no desire for nuclear weapons. Iran is in a difficult position as trump's word is worthless. Like us here in Canada, they have to do what they can to deal with the situation, there is no other choice.

Investment in Canada at any cost, including our Unions. There is always a price to pay when the safeguards are pushed to the side. These corporations will make their money and move on, we will be left to pay for any cleanup. Anything from environmental damage to wages that continue to fall behind.

Where's the elbows up for Canadian workers? Endless concessions for the already rich corporations but strike prevention for Union workers to ensure those workers have no power. The trickle down will become a drip.

Even worse, Bill C-39 to prevent strikes before they happen will be practically unchallengable. This according to Gil McGowan of the Alberta Federation of Labour, on Energi Media today. Looks like corporations will hold all the cards. So much for elbows up for workers.

According to Gil McGowan of the Alberta Federation of Unions, Carney's Bill C-39 to prevent strikes before they happen, is written in such a way as to be practically unchallengeable. So now unions are being sacrificed to make rich investors richer? Once the right to strike is lost, what's left?

Jan 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 @snorider.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
No, we are all for investment but not at the cost of a damaged environment and without fair livable wages. Why else are they trying to decrease the ability of union workers to strike. Why do all these wealthy corporations need all these massive tax breaks and shortcuts?

We don't want a Canada full of richer rich people. We want a Canada where workers are paid fairly and can afford a home, groceries and some money in the bank. How will decreasing union workers ability to strike help? We want a strong middle class being paid livable, good wages.

Jan 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 @snorider.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
If it's such a great idea why would tax money be needed to pay for a pipeline? We still owe around 34 billion for the last one we got stuck paying for. It doesn't even pay for itself. Could it be O & G just want all the profits but none of the expense?

Once it's for profit you look forward to things like a fee to drop someone off at the airport. At 1 foreign airport it costs about $14 Canadian.
