I see now that everyone else left theirs in. Dang. That would've been so much easier.

Just binged both seasons of The Bear. Now I'm walking around my kitchen yelling "Corner!" and "Behind!" at my wife.

Crazy stat: JFK died in November, 1963. Since then, he has missed exactly one (1) Detroit Lions playoff victory.

If you were visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve who would you want them to be?

You’ve heard of Barbenheimer, but have you heard of …

The image is a humorous mashup of two movie posters: "Die Hard" and "Home Alone." It features the face of Bruce Willis from "Die Hard" on the left with an exploding building, juxtaposed with Macaulay Culkin's character from "Home Alone" looking shocked with his hands on his cheeks. The text "DIE" from the "Die Hard" poster and "ALONE" from the "Home Alone" poster are combined to read "DIE ALONE," creating a playful blend of the two films' titles. The poster suggests a nonexistent crossover film and carries a comedic tagline, blending the themes of action and family comedy.

My wife watches movies about small American towns where there's no opioid epidemic, no racism, no MAGA cult, no dollar stores, no poverty, and no gun violence. But she won't watch sci-fi with me because it's "too unrealistic."

Just as we finished our big Christmas lunch with the family, my mother-in-law collapsed on the table. She stopped breathing. My daughter did CPR and brought her back. We've been in the ER since 3. This is definitely not how I expected my day to go.

Zack Snyder's "Rebel Moon" is what you would get after running a 12-year-old's Star Wars fanfic through an AI "art" program. Who keeps paying this hack???

I've got some good news and some bad news about the planet. The good news is that you can stop recycling! The bad news is...um... It's really bad.

I sold a bunch of baseball cards this week, and now I'm using the money to buy Lego sets. I could have said the same thing when. I was 7. I am nothing if not consistent.

I will never forget the day she died. I opened up a thread on some forum that had an article about it. Comment 1: "Was she hanging out the passenger side of her best friend's ride?" Comment 2: "Yeah. She was trying to holler at me."

If anyone ever criticizes your use of Comic Sans, just tell them it's a great font for people with dyslexia - the non-uniformity of the letter forms makes it easier for them to read.

A little Christmas present I got for myself. Combines my love of Daft Punk with my soft spot for Lego minifigs.

"The evidence is clear: Police departments across the country are solving far fewer crimes than they did before 2020." (via @jeffasher.bsky.social in NYT today) www.nytimes.com/2023/12/05/o...

Line chart showing that police clearance rates for fives types of crime – murder, aggravated assault, rape, robbery and larceny/theft – have declined in recent years. Clearance rates refer to the share of cases each year that are closed, or “cleared,” through the arrest, charging and referral of a suspect for prosecution, or due to “exceptional” circumstances such as the death of a suspect or a victim’s refusal to cooperate with a prosecution.

I get the Florida St. anger, but right now FSU is a 14-pt underdog to Georgia. The ACC was extremely weak this year, as evidenced by that horrible Louisville team making the title game. Michigan players groaned when Bama was announced - they'd have been doing backflips if FSU had been called out.

I'm a Bama fan, but I am STUNNED that we got in over Florida State. Bama vs. Michigan is gonna be a helluva game, though.

This is our dog, Birdie. She found a blue Sharpie while we were out. Still not sure how she broke it and turned her paws blue without getting it all over her mouth.
