I wouldn't say Trump will bomb Iran a lot next year DESPITE being impeached. In fact he might well bomb it more BECAUSE he is being impeached. But the longer the US waits, the bigger the attacks on Iran will be. Maybe after 3 Nov, Trump simply doesn't care if oil goes to $250

I think Rubio would want to. I don't know whether he will be able to. the role as world policeman doesn't require anyone else's consent or respect. It requires that countries like China, Iran and Russia fear the US. If the US is seen as turning inwards, they fear it less.
