I was going to write a job application today but I ended up writing to my MP asking for the black shirt org to be proscribed as a terrorist organisation. I also asked for safe legal routes and an evidenced based and pragmatic discussion of migration in the light of an aging pop & low birth rate.

Rereading the ASA code of practice. Political parties are exempt. I get why. But the gulf between what’s tolerated for most organisations and political parties is really instructive. It is not in the least surprising that voters do not trust any political party or their adverts.

I am stuck in a truly kafkaesque and frustrating terrible customer service loop between my bank and a retailer. I ended up asking myself “is this as bad as some of that worst university procurement processes I’ve encountered”. I don’t actually have an answer to that question….

Entirely predictable thing about the way people are profiting from AI. There are a number of online video editing tools that do transcription and captioning. Captioning was free and people were using it as a workaround. Making videos in elsewhere and quickly using free versions to caption.

I have asked for and been given an appointment to see the menopause nurse. Not until October but I wasn’t expecting miracles. I can count the number of truly decent nights’ sleep I’ve had in the last nine months on one hand. Brain fog hasn’t improved as hoped post redundancy.
