Starmer and Miliband both drove for net zero and didn't want more drilling in the north sea. People left Labour for Greens while this was policy. I feel the exodus was more due to people's feelings on Labour's reaction to Gaza than anything else.

Rise in minimum wage, workers rights Bill, free Breakfast clubs in primary schools, renters rights improved , 2 child cap abolished, rise in NHS funding, drive to achieve net zero. Etc... yes they also made big mistakes but I personally think what they have done for workers is being ignored.

Well, after the local election results we can all say goodbye to a closer relationship with Europe. Opinion polls may say people now don't want Brexit, but strong support for Reform is a death nail for any chance of either realignment or rejoining of the EU for the foreseeable future. ☹️ #Brexit

The EU would require evidence of a stable, long-term British consensus to rejoin to avoid future "U-turns". Reform voicing continual support of crappy Brexit and also leading UK polling we probably won't even pass the Copenhagen Criteria ( requirements for EU entry).

Yes, there are different degrees and interpretation of what violence is, but that can vary to the individual. However there is legal definition which will be hard to argue in court, no matter the right of the action.

If the aim is to cause damage to a structure, item etc What's the difference. It's the intent. If you're saying non violent action includes damage/destruction of property I have to disagree. Definition of Violence is use of physical force, throwing paint, throw brick ,smash with hammer or burning

Much appreciated. Over 30 years in a union makes me very careful on what I specifically put down and how it's worded. However I should have appreciated more the sensitive nature of the original post and perhaps not the time to put a legal question on why law was used in that way. All the best.
