Hundreds of passionate Tasmanians attended the public meeting to protest against funding and staff cuts to TMAG. Quite a few Green and independent pollies there, but none from Labor. They care about dog racing and a footy stadium but not our precious arts, culture and heritage. Shame! #politas

Tas. HIA complains today about a lack of “shovel-ready” land for new homes. Macquarie Point is shovel ready for homes for about 3000 people. And it will employ many people as the project is developed over the years. And it will cost 1/10 of the cost of a stadium. #nonewstadium #politas

This report is both astonishing and unsurprising. An argument for regulation and even a shutdown. We can’t have computer programs telling people how to commit mass shootings. It’s bad enough that some nation’s leaders are sponsoring terrorism in neighbouring countries and territories.

Today’s Mercury suggests that without a stadium at MAC Point, Hobart - and Tasmania - are doomed. The truth is the exact opposite. My theory continues to be that the more problematic the stadium becomes, the more they (Mercury and gov’t) pump out these kind of articles. #nonewstadium #politas
