I started writing addresses in the back of my physical diary and if nothing else it’s nice to not have to scroll through months of messages or ask again if i want to visit a friend (or send a surprise gift!)

made some Watership Down stamp washi tape a while back that I have finally listed on the shop! (BRIGHT EEEEYEEEESSSS) shopoftheleanhound.etsy.com

A photo of strips Watership down inspired stamp washi taped onto gridded paper. They are duochromatically coloured in dark reddish brown and pale grey/blue.

The first row, beginning top left and moving down show: 1) Hazel at the top of the hill on Watership Down, there are four rabbits in front of him. The sun lights him from behind, representative as his return to Watership Down after the attack by Efrafa and becoming Hazel-rah 2) The black rabbit of Inle swoops down to Hazel, farm buildings in the distance. 3) El-ahraihrah and hazel leap into the stars together. 4) Fiver, dark and wide eyed is beset by visions.

The second row, top down: 5) Keehar, a black headed gull, flies through the sky. 6) Holly, a buck, trapped in the tangled roots of the Efrafan warren. Below this, the tape repeats images 1 and 2.

On the third row, we can partially see image 4 of Fiver. The stamp below shows 7) Three small rabbits in silhouette (representing Fiver, Hazel and the doe Strawberry). They are sat on a small hill lined with beech trees. The images below repeat to show 5, Keehar and 6, Holly.

The forth row partially shows image 2, then 3 below it, then 4 and 7.

A photograph of the previous page of washi stamps from a different angle, part of the adjoining page is visible. We can see the image of Holly in the Efrafa warren, Hazel's visit by the black rabbit and Fiver more clearly. On top of the page sits the roll of washi tape.

A week after the dam went up the livestock started disappearing. After two weeks, so did people.

I saw her speak a few years before she died and she brought this up (i think as an example of “silly questions” at the q&a) because people often asked her if the tiger was a Nazi

Our old house had an outdated Hive thermostat that was too old to connect to any of the apps, and who’s only function was locking us out of having heating if it’s batteries ran down

Though failing eeeverything else if you’ve only got southern friends free in the interim there’s a sleeper train between London and Edinburgh. (also stops at Carlisle if you want to stay north and idk wanna see the McVities biscuit factory, the air does smell like whatever they’re baking that day)

Durham’s quite pretty from what i remember of a fly-by work trip there. Then north of there there’a Alnwich which has a beautiful garden full of poisonous plants, and Bambrugh which has an amazing coastline, castle and an island you can only access at low tide. no train station but p good bus links
