We are a very trusting species by default, we believe what we are told, making teaching and reading incredibly powerful intelligence amplifiers. It also means we can easily be lied to. We assume products like #AI we are given are safe. But there are no laws forcing them to be safe or accurate.

Similar to swarms of #drones, swarms of #AIAgents don't have to be particularly resourceful, in a numbers game they will statistically find gaps and exploit them. Given the resources put behind them, we are already in a dangerous place.

I understand the fears of #AI, they are legitimate. But not because it becomes sentient but because companies and militaries are giving them huge responsibility. We may need large criminal penalties for companies who are responsible for systems that commit crimes.

#Apple rarely gives out individual model sales numbers, but I would love to know the break down for the #iPhoneDuo. I think it is well done, I just have no idea if they can expand the market at $2000 price point. Foldables hardware as achieved some great finish, but the segment is fairly small.

I think the most confusing product #Apple makes is the new #Airpods5 vs #Airpods5WithWirelessChargingCase. These have different features in the ear buds themselves, not just the case. It is a bizarre choice...

The new #iPhoneDuo looks well done, but $2000 is tough. The #iPhonePro is $900 less and better cameras, easier to update every 2-3 years. As an #iPad replacement it is tricky too, that update cycle is 3-5 years for many, a Duo is more often but less power.

The new #MacStudio with the #M5Ultra is $5,500, but it comes really well equipped with 30 core CPU, 64 core GPU, 96 GB memory, 1TB storage... that's less than what the original Mac SE cost back in the day, adjusted for inflation it was around $8,000+.

$Planetary nebula NGC 2392, the Lion Nebula, against the black background of space. The nebula is at center, circular in shape, and looks like a male lion’s head. In the very center is a small, pinkish-white circle with eight-point diffraction spikes, a white dwarf star. Surrounding the star are light purple-pink cavernous bubbles and shell-like rings. The bubbles and shells collectively form an oval with two small, wide arcs near the top, reminiscent of a lion’s face and its ears. What appears to be extended outward from the lion’s face is a thick ring of purple-blue material. The width of the ring is consistent throughout and resembles a mane. The area closest to the lion’s face looks cloudy, while the edges of the mane look like there are clumps of dust with comet-like tails and strands. In the background are distant galaxies and stars. Some galaxies appear as yellow and orange points of light and others with visible spiral structures. A couple of the stars have diffraction spikes.$

The psychology of eating is fascinating. The density of boiled eggs is probably tricking your brain to think it is a lot while the scrambled eggs are airy and light, easier to chew/eat and not 8 of something. You do lose some water going scrambled, but I bet it is all in your head!

By default, #Gemini #LLM is always trying to get me to follow up on a new, tangential line of thinking to keep the chat going. Whereas most other LLMs I have dealt with try to follow MY own logic path and dig deeper. Gemini seems to wander off base a TON. Very frustrating.

We've had #smartphones for over a decade. Almost EVERYONE has one. Pant pockets should have extra internal sleeve so phones can be protected from scratches while the other part can have keys.
