been struggling to find the words for hours. to tell you the truth, the loss of Tim Curry has hit me immensely hard. Full text (image attached for non-Tumblr users): sladewatkins.tumblr.com/post/8260804...

Tim Curry’s portrayal of Dr. Frank-N-Furter was something i only discovered last October, when i needed it most. a friend of mine can confirm that.

it healed the pieces of my heart & soul that weren’t quite right—the ones bruised by years of teasing and digs at my sexuality. in Dr. Frank-N-Furter, and “Rocky Horror” by extension, i saw me. i saw freedom when i needed to see it. it taught me not *just* to dream, but indeed to be. and it gave me the strength to go home and face the pain i left behind.

i’ll never forget that. but that’s the beauty of all of Tim Curry’s work, not just Rocky. but his other roles too—from Home Alone 2 all the way to his small role in Phineas & Ferb—you can just feel it.

he was truly one of one.

so…

rest in peace, Tim,
and thank you for everything, Dr. Frank-N-Furter. hope you made it home safe
