But they don't know how to win in the playoffs

Such an old topic, but I left Twitter for two reasons... 1. It was supporting a Nazi and his pro-Nazi agenda 2. It had tipped too far into making me the product over providing a service. Rewarding outrage, overruling who I had decided to follow, generally wresting control of my experience from me.

Scheduling 9am meetings, great. Scheduling 9am meetings and then realizing they'll become 8am meetings due to travel, less great.

If position players have to throw meaningful innings, who're the best options? Pages?

000

Do the Dodgers know this game could go 9 innings or more?

110

Accountability in 2026?! Lol

000

Not a good throw, but a 1B could certainly make that play...

000

It was always silly the people ceding the Yamamoto starts.

110

I both think 1) there are spring training data more meaningful than some analysts assume, and 2) the significance of that data is less than many drafters think. Changing opinion should be small shifts within a huge gray area, not a flip between black and white.

There was some platoon risk, too, although he wasn't really platooned in 2025, either, he just sucked vs lefties. Was ok in 2026, helping the counting stats be viable in shallower leagues.

Gavin Williams is at 272 strikeouts (and counting) between the regular season and postseason. There’s a non-zero chance he reaches 300 combined strikeouts this season and that’s blowing my mind a bit.

"Musk is bad and Zuckerburg is bad, therefore Musk is no worse than Zuckerburg" says the nuanced thought leader.

"The bigots on Twitter don't harass me, a white guy, so I'm cool with the platform", says the white guy sincerely.

Yes, supporting Musk is worse than Zuckerburg. Your logical fallacy is black and white thinking.

There's a POOPSY joke here somewhere that I can't find.

Saw a local production of Come From Away last night and it was amazing. Impressive the community actors could keep up that pace and precision for the whole show.

There are two types of people

Megatron saying: I suffered! Why shouldn’t they?

Optimus Prime saying; I suffered? Why should they?

I really like those New Orleans Packers uniforms.

Based on the Rays, Guardians and Brewers in the League Championship Series, it's clear that a high payroll is a disadvantage towards winning. We *must* institute a salary cap to increase parity and help the big spenders have a chance to compete.

It's already illegal. Congress banned it near-unanimously in 2022. That law allows the ban to be lifted only if Russia withdraws from Ukraine. He's simply breaking the law that's already on the books.

just to emphasize what's happening here: BMW (a company that used slave labor under the Nazis) refused to provide an official vehicle to the ultra right-wing AfD party, which is now asking Elon Musk to provide a Tesla instead Tesla literally becoming the Nazi car brand

Fan interference didn't cause they Yankees to lose out on a home run, headline writer. Fan interference made it look like the Yankees hit a home run when they actually didn't. It's not complicated, use your big words

My office switched phone systems, and if I don't sign in each day, my calls will go straight to voicemail. I'm so excited to never ever sign in to my phone again ;)

It’s a shame Bluesky is asleep and missing the Jake Bauers “I only kept playing because I needed health insurance” story because boy does that say a lot about Everything

New York wasn't ready for Anthony Volpe to hit a game changing home run, anyway.

I’ve got one Nick Martinez story I heard. For the 2023 WBC, Cuba was allowing MLB players to play for them for the first time and apparently they approached Nick, but his grandparents were political refugees from Cuba and he said fuck you and asked to play for team USA
