My full piece for @knifesedgezine.bsky.social was a collab with the wonderful @mistresseast.bsky.social! I had the pleasure of getting to illustrate her fic, The Autopsy of Akechi Goro. The zine's leftover sale is until April 1st! 🔪https://knifesedgezine.bigcartel.com/ #akeshu #shuake cw gore

A sickly yellow light wraps around Akira, who has an unfocused stare fixed on the dead body of Goro Akechi on an autopsy table. Looming next to him and staring directly at him is also the dead body of Goro akechi, his chest cut open, bloody ribs and innards and heart exposed, staring accusatorily at Akira in turn while blood seeps from his eyes.

Hi! Been a while. I had to take some time after my dog passed away in January. Over Christmas he was in pretty bad shape, our vet and us fought for over a month but in the end, he didn’t make it. His kidneys were too far gone and we had to let him go. …

Title: Our Drowning Palace
Summary:
Even if Ren closed his eyes, he knew he would still see all that blood, dark and thick and still. His heart pounded. He had to shout just to be heard over it. "Can you hear me, Shido? Listen to me!"
Mona yowled, "Joker, calm down and—"
"I'm going to make you pay for what you did to him!" Ignoring Mona's protests, Ren raised his voice higher and made every word echo from the steel walls: "You're going to wake up every morning wishing you could kill yourself to apologize to Goro Akechi!"
As the reverberations faded, over the sound of his own loud breaths, Ren heard his phone chirp, "Candidate found."
There's no way that Akechi could have survived the events of the engine room. Ren goes back for him anyway.
