That was so good! I do not want to own a VR headset but if you told me I could do a walkthrough of the cave in high detail with one, I would seriously consider it.

This 33-year-old nurse told the FBI she knew she was “going to set him free” after border patrol agents brought in a man whose face was bloodied and seriously injured. She treated him and helped him escape, and she faces charges now. He got away, and they never relocated him.

Messing with my self-assembled Miyazaki palette. Finally. I put away my default/usual palette and left out only the Miyazaki one and my Schmincke sets to encourage myself to try something different.

I got an iNat newsletter that featured this image today, and I did not know chipmunks were carnivorous! (Marked as graphic, as it's a chipmunk with a vole or lemming being noshed on, some vole-flesh visible)

Omigod, this is the most heartwarming story possible! Backpack (bear 89) is the son of the 2019 winner of Fat Bear Week, Holly (bear 435). In 2007, he injured his foot & a practice of riding on momma's Holly's back had a new meaning: he was mobility-restricted while it healed. So Holly moved him.
From DISCVR blog's Facebook page, a momma bear & a yearling cub on her back in the shallow water. I think the background has been swapped out, and I can't rule out some AI use there? God, Facebook has become the social media for AI slop : (

The title of the article, which I link below, is "How Bear 89 earned the name Backpack"

Spent the evening making little guys.
Color pencil drawings of two Mesopotamian area idols. The one on the left is a parent-and-child eye idol, blueish stone with yellowish details. The one on the right is taller, terra-cotta-ish, hands clasped at its stomach, with a bird-like face and THICC legs.

Now she is one classy lady. I like her.
another stone eye idol. This one has a lot more detail and is a singular figure. It has the huge eyes at the top, but with little knobs at the side for either ears or maybe space buns. She also has a long triangular cone for a nose and pouty lips underneath it. below the mouth are two mounds to represent breasts surrounded by insized double lines arranged in diamond patterns. Below is a triangular prominence in size with a little line at the bottom and dots to represent the vulva.

Do not speak to me or my ancient Syrian son ever again
A screenshot of a auction site that sells historical artifacts. The page is for a “marble eye idol“ from Tell Brak, a city in ancient Syria. The idol is a flat piece that is composed of one figure with a head composed entirely of its eyes, so it ends up being sort of a figure 8 with eyes on it as the head, and then below it is another figure identical to it, but smaller as if it’s a child standing in front of a parent.

quite a few months ago, I realized I had not listened to any new country music in a while so I listened to Choosing Texas, decided it wasn’t as bad as I thought it could be, and then have proceeded to just not listen to it or think about it again.

You have to use both sharpeners on the red one - the first one gets rid of the wood, but generally leaves kind of a weird extra bit on the lead and the second one actually sharpens the lead.
