Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 26/11/2025Excellent comic and game, and the collection is really well-done. 041
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 12/09/2025I dunno... it's got kind of a Paranoia feel where the players are running expendable PCs through a world they don't quite understand, and GMing that is great fun. For this I'd back off on GM malevolence but that's not necessary anyhow. 000
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 07/08/2025Back in the 90s we used to automatically insert random 'subversive' words into our email and usenet .signatures to confuse snoopers. It may be time to bring that practice back. 081

Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 26/07/2025And all that boils down to "don't be Hitler" and in that case why are you starting WWII in Europe at all? 080
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 14/07/2025For a printed copy I like Lulu even though sometimes I have to contact the writer for a PDF copy. I like their books a _bit_ better than other PODs, but they also do ringbound which I usually prefer for RPG books. If I'm printing a b/w PDF I'll go with printme1; I don't have a go-to for color yet. 020
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 14/07/2025Itch gives the writer marginally more money, but DTRPG has the better customer experience, especially if I'm making multiple small purchases without a shopping cart. And the list of purchases with update dates is useful. Of course if the direct purchase option isn't a huge pain I'll do that first. 110
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 13/07/2025I was told once that a car with a back seat was cheaper to insure. A little googling shows that as "meh, probably not?" but it's at least vaguely plausible. 000
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 06/07/2025The order is more concretely "opinion, size, age, shape, colour, origin, material, purpose" so the ur-example is "lovely little old rectangular green French silver whittling knife" 040
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 06/07/2025'Fake' feels to me like it binds more closely to modifying another adjective than the final noun. So here the wallet is fake-yellow, but made of leather. A 'yellow fake leather wallet' would be made of something other than leather, and a 'yellow leather fake wallet' would be some kind of decoy. 120
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 01/07/2025Playing 'Uno' is too woke for them so they've made 'One' for themselves. 000
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 19/06/2025They have like a 1970s level of computer technology in general, but also intelligent robots as a consumer-grade technology. It doesn't make sense but I usually don't let that bother me. 030

Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 18/04/2025The "D100 Dungeon" series may fit that for you. It's got the roguelike feel of generating and exploring a dungeon, finding new gear, and leveling up skills. 110

Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 22/03/2025This nonsense handwaves away so many profound technical and engineering challenges I'm surprised it doesn't just flutter away over the horizon under its own power. 2280
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 20/03/2025I remember reading about archaeologists finding a Babylonian king's museum of the ancient artifacts _his_ archaeologists dug up. Fascinating stuff. 1475
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 11/03/2025That really has a lot of "I cannot _believe_ we have to say this" energy. 060
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 27/02/2025Looks like they're trying to intimidate people out of staying in to fight. 010
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 10/02/2025I'd be curious to know if they're actually saying zero or if that's just as low as the chart goes and they really expect/want *deflation*. 010

Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 26/12/2024Yeah I found myself on one of those 'follows right-wing accounts' lists, and I guess I did follow someone this person found unacceptable. People can block who they like of course, and share that they did it, but I don't agree with attaching quite so much moral weight to individual follows. 030
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 25/12/2024Those look great. I've considered some thick plastic standees that can be written on with whiteboard markers, but you can't put good art on them. They'd be fine for "ORC #5" but yours look better :) 120
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 05/12/2024How the heck does one become "a huge fan" in the first place? The whole thing was never more than a chuckle-and-move-on bit of amusement. 010

Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 23/11/2024I don't think I've had any obvious fake follower requests, but more than a few are pretty clearly farming for followbacks rather than actually interested in my (dubious) wisdom. But I tend not to investigate further once I've decided not to follow back. 160
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 22/11/2024I'm not sure how to verify journalists but I've seen ideas towards that idea elsewhere in this thread. 010
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 22/11/2024My off the cuff thought is to have a filtered feed for news where only verified journalists can post but any user can reply. That would keep the noise down a little. I suppose it could fund journalists through revenue sharing but that's dependent on Bluesky itself establishing a revenue stream. 110
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 22/11/2024No wonder right-wing evangelical Christians feel themselves isolated if they believe they're -31% of the population. 010
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 21/11/2024I think they're used to looking at courts as neutral instead of asking who appointed the court, who influenced it, whose legal philosophy they're following, and who put *this* case before *this* court at *this* time. 061

Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 20/11/2024Maybe the typesetter got too many letters out and just didn't want to bother putting them back in their case? 030

Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 18/11/2024Yeah, this would be great! There was a mod for that on Twitter that I made great use of- it put a block button on every post. One click and done. 020
Scott Kullberg @skullberg.bsky.social · 18/11/2024This is an important point- if they tried this stunt it would make very clear both their contempt for the values military officers are supposed to hold, and their total lack of reciprocal loyalty to the military that gives the President its loyalty. 020
