Those…are… The long time supporting classic players. Those are actually the players a dev said in a blue post that they are specifically trying to bring back, not retail players, they’re allready paying a sub, they want to bring back those that haven’t paid a sub in years. He straight up said they weren’t re-learning how things were back there 20 years ago for Retail players. He specifically said that Forever was for those that have had their accounts basically gathering dust because they didn’t liked the direction the game as taken.
And that is how the supporting “classic” players are, you don’t tell 30-40 years old how they should or shouldn’t act, that’s the fastest way to keep them away like the current wave of refunds for the name issue has proven (not saying i support the slurs naming thing, just showing my point that grown ups do not take kindly to people with hair dye and half their age telling them to “be a better human being”). And blizz knows otherwise they would have baned Asmon allready in the very first ban wave.
Its not classic players that have to modernize themselves to modern times. Retail players are the ones that have to de-modernize themselves if they wanna play Forever. And considering the low patience the modern retail playerbase has, I seriously doubt most or even half of retail players will have enough patience to reach their first Forever player to 60

The funny thing about those WoWF players saying they hope it kills retail is that the reason Forever doesn't have a cover price is because retail subsidises it. If retail did die all the responsibility for revenue made from expansions, subs, the shop etc would fall onto Forever. #WorldofWarcraft

I hope after the Worldsoul Saga, the supposed "reset" of WoW makes it more in line with Forever. No rush, just a journey. And paced enough so people can go back to older content and farm stuff without feeling they risk being left behind with current stuff. #warcraft #blizzard #forever
