He is barely up in polls. We are now experiencing the huge influx of cash spent against him. And yes harm reduction matters to me. I’m caregiver to a profoundly disabled teenager. My party hasn’t been ideal on supportive legislation but the other wants him locked away in an institution. It matters.

He hasn’t refused to stand with marginalized groups. He could have answered this better but I disagree that this means he’s an evil anti-trans candidate. The other guys actually want trans people dead. But instead the narrative is about Talarico being a traitor. And that’s why we lose. We all lose.

I live in Houston in a purplish-reddish neighborhood. I’m going to tell y’all right now that this will help nudge those who were afraid/skeptical to vote for him. I’ve heard it with my own ears at the bus stop waiting for my kid. You can be mad about it and yes, it sucks, but it is true.

My 18 year old daughter disappeared from the voter rolls here in Houston. She registered in Feb, got her voter registration card in the mail in March, and now she doesn’t exist in the system. Super pissed 😡

I felt bad at the time choosing Talarico over Crockett but my rational side knew the white Christian boy who spoke calmly and carefully had the best chance here in TX. I’m glad I don’t have to regret voting for her now. She’s hurting us all at a time when we have the best chance to make progress.
