Then the rewards can only be redeemed for gift cards which were purchased at wholesale prices from many of the same vendors/platforms. App made 5%. 100

Say WAYFAIR usually offers 10% off anyway and say their customer acquisition costs are another 5%, so you're at 15% already. Then WAYFAIR offers another 15%, like a drop-shipper discount. 100

They have a couple revenue channels that tempt fools but for the most part it's on the up and up, driven by wholesale purchasing, interest earned during processing, negotiating power derived from representing millions of customers, data collection -> customer acquisition 100
