Meet Flapsy Wiggleton, my customised Heldrake with scratch-built tail and rear legs! The tail is articulated (best quality: their wiggles) and the rear leg joints are functional to help with posing. Approximately a hundred-ish hours of indecision and faffing about to get to this point! 🤣 #minatures

Okay so I am terrible at keeping up with things here, but better late than never, right? 🤣 I was at GHMX last weekend, entered some of my minis into their mini competition, and of the three categories I entered, I won gold in all three :3 I was both surprised and delighted at these results! :D

Adjusted the backdrop and started painting! probably gonna add a couple of sky lanterns in the background too :D

Here's a couple of my WIPs atm! The lightning for the dragon's base still needs some refining, but overall I'm quite pleased with how it's turning out. I'm also pleased with the tweaks I made to the gryphon model to get this specific head/reins to work with this rider. lmk what you think! :D

Planning on adding a scratch-built tail to my heldrake! The joint between neck and body has also been mildly articulated, but I don't think I'll bother doing so with any of the limbs. They'll get glued in after painting (if i ever get that far! 🤣)

Assembling a Heldrake for myself, decided to attempt articulating the head a bit! Drilled a couple of holes, carved a connecting piece out of sprue, and it works quite nicely! Reasonable range of motion and it also lets me extend/retract the head a bit. Gonna make painting easier!
