From SEA SLUT II to BILBOAT BAGGINS, a deep dive into AIS vessel data turns up 50,000 boat names packed with nautical puns, dirty jokes, and Tolkien deep cuts.

TIL: the French title of "To Kill a Mockingbird" is apparently the rather reproving "Don't Shoot at a Mockingbird"

Look at the size of that shrimp! 🦐 I love animals and I’m also a pescatarian, so…I was gazing at this statue for a while, 😆.

I'm just going to have to buy a pelmenitsa, because the quality of the local frozen pelmeni has gone precipitously downhill. It is not enough to turn into my mother. I will have to turn into my grandmother.

*It's a sci-fi novel about the 2020s and it's about a drone aiming at a fossil-fuel installation. Which was complete coincidence, of course

R. H. Bing (October 20, 1914 – April 28, 1986)[1] was an American mathematician who worked mainly in the areas of geometric topology and continuum theory.Bing's father was named Rupert Henry, but Bing's mother thought that "Rupert Henry" was too British for Texas. Thus she compromised by abbreviating it to R. H.[5] Consequently, R. H. does not stand for a first or middle name.

When Bing was applying for a visa, he was requested not to use initials. He explained that his name was really "R-only H-only Bing", and ended up receiving a visa made out to "Ronly Honly Bing".

Update from version 215.0 to version 217.037

I propose we replace semantic versioning with pride versioning
Diagram with large number: 2.7.123
First “2” is commented: Proud version. Bump when you are proud of the release
Second “7” is commented: Default version. Just normal/okay releases
Third “123” is commented: Shame version. Bump when fixing things too embarrassing to admit
