I re-did week 1 of Funguary because my first attempt at it honestly kinda sucked (and I was intending to go a different direction with the drawings) 😅 Mushrooms in this prompt were: enoki, morel, chicken of the woods, wrinkled peach, spotted cort, veiled lady, and inky cap!

On Twitter there’s an art challenge called “Funguary” which is basically like, “it’s February, here’s some mushrooms, draw them!” And I love drawing mushrooms so I do this every year. This year I’m doing mock-up sketches for a larger painting I’m gonna do later on, here’s week 1. (Week 2 incoming!)

A sizable chunk of my family lives 20-40 minutes from Lewiston. I went to high school 30ish minutes from there. In Maine that’s not a lot. We didn’t know any of the victims but still, it really shakes your sense of security to have something like this hit so close.
