"Mortals", pages 01-08. A short comic in which Minerva and Alcyone snark at each other over the concept of ‘mortality’. If you like seeing huge space monsters flirting(?) with mean pervert women this should hold up without context. Originally released for Patreon in 2025. 💀🎨 | #OCs | #Blueshift

Goretober 2019 #6 - Hospital Original description was too long, so it's in the ALT instead. Cross is not a good patient 😔 #oc #art #blood #gore #vampire

The problem, with being able shrug off most injuries like they're nothing, is that you might have a hard time accepting when you're actually seriously injured...
Cross is not a good patient. The medical staff usually have to handcuff him to his bed, to keep him from running around =P

"Once again, he is a vampire. That said, he's one the good guys... just very violent XD

Also, I find it funny that, when the drawing itself is pretty simple, I just spend forever messing around with light and shadow instead -.- "

D & Arzelo. A demon summoner and his demon under contract #oc | #demon | #digitalart | #monster | #terato

Image shows conceptual art for two characters. On the left, a human man in dark clothing with his face obscured by heavy shadow cast by a hoodie he is wearing. On his left is a drawing of his hand in detail, showing the black rings worn on his fingers. Above that is a detail shot of his bare chest showing a dark, hand-like marking on his skin.
The character on the right is a black and red demon. To their right is a symmetrical portrait and a view of their back, showing red markings on their skin.

Character design re-hauls for Jarret and Ilya I put together while writing "The Gods are Still" - a butch werewolf and her recently divorced witch traveling companion. Check out their roadtrip: www.honeyfeed.fm/novels/33535 | 💀🎨 | #OC | #yuri | #butch4femme | #fantasy

Jarret Atomo, she/her. She has short, choppy brown hair, huge scars across her nose, lips, cheeps and throat. The reference shows the different layers of her leather armor, traveling cloak details, and her color palette.

Ilya Finalwind, she/her. She dresses in a flowing light-blue robe with a deep hood, a dark traveling cloak, and her ears and hair are covered by a black wrap. Her clothing is adorned in moon and sun motifs.

dante has such supportive friends #oc #art #comic

Algernon and Ashton are standing in front of some trees, looking at dante who is offscreen. Algernon says "Come on man. If you don't make it to at least a mile, then we're gonna have to eat all the poptails". Ashton holds a sign that says "don't give up or you're a pussy"

dante is in the background, jogging while out of breath, sweaty and wanting to die. Ashton turns to Al, saying "It hasn't even been 3 minutes and he's wheezing like a lung cancer patient." Algernon says "oh well, more poptails for us" before biting into the cocktail popsicle like the absolute menace he is.

I wasn't familiar with Sketchpad, but it does seem a bit limited... If you want something with more features, I can highly recommend Krita. It's free, and has all you could need for digital art ^^

Sorry if this isn't what you meant, but here's some quick and easy ideas! I added a bit of description in the ALT text ^^ I don't what program you use, but you should be able to get similar results in most of them.

This is completely subjective, but I think your art might benefit from a bit thicker line art.
Even without a background, a Shape™ can help the character pop!
I dunno if you planned on shading, but a gradient and some texture can add some dimension ^^

Rim lighting can also help with dimension ^^

Backlighting gives a more moody vibe~
Multiply is good for adding shading in general!
