sneak preview of the kind of ffak stuff i've been drawing

Started yet ANOTHER ffak bonus comic that's literally just miscellaneous comic scenes of fork/nail so I have a place to put random moments that don't really fit anywhere else...

it's hard to say something about FFAK i haven't said before.. but.. i always laugh at it being kind of the antithesis of so much "comic advice." I think people get very psychologically afraid of long-format comics for a lot of reasons, both making or being fans of them.

only like 5 pages left before chapter 18 is finished, decided that felt like a good enough place after this scene :)

kos @kosmicdream.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

NSFW of fork/nail that was scrapped for the scene but i think the brainstorm sketches still came out nice lol. probably will try to reuse some aspects of it later on for something.. who knows. 😔

the fact that ffak is that old/long now i can be like "oh yeah! i havent drawn that guy in 8 years" feels surreal to me lol

kos @kosmicdream.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

i have not drawn Velns for.. uh.. over 8 years and well over 4000 pages??? so i drew Velns today. RIP to the OG C-type

Lola for @null-bis.bsky.social !!! I missed seeing her so I felt compelled to sketch her today after a new comic appeared! 💞 Been following Null's work for years so it was nice seeing an old face 😘

I still need to design more actual toys for Cuddlebug Snugglepoo (the main company in Religion of Toy) so I often go to the 90's for inspiration because.. well.. not only are they the toys i grew up with and are kind of the aesthetic i want to capture - i just genuinely love the variety of toys.

i sometimes think its crazy i only owned like, one furby and i technically didn't have any tamagotchi's except for the like.. 1997 or 1998 mcdonalds toy ones. i mean technically i have one now but it was hard to take care of so im sure its dead now.

im slowly catching up with HXH because i like letting chapters stack up for a binge read.. and man, every time i read the succession arc it makes me want to work on FFAK lol

kos @kosmicdream.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

i rly didn't plan on putting NRD on hold so much of this year!! Not that I've actually STOPPED working on it completely or anything, just been doing more in the background with writing. I still need to processes/plan more for the rest of the story as well.

i thought it'd be fun to try to draw Nail with some facial hair. although i couldn't really decide on what one looked best. probably the first would be the most likely one since i dont think he'd enjoy having facial hair for sensory reasons lol

August has been the lowest page count tally of the year (probably going to be 40 or 41 pages) but I am glad i worked.. entirely on TT&TF this month. I will be doing the same for sept because it's kind of the only way it'll get completed...
