For those who haven't been keeping track, I just uploaded the last chapter of my entries for ffxivwrite this year! That was a lot of fun! Writing regularly is good for you, I think, and I'm proud of a lot of this. To celebrate, here's a picture of Garo's big fat tail. No touching.

She has one hand on her hips, with the other planting a spear on the ground, and has her back facing the camera, looking at the viewer over her shoulder. It is covered in large, dark-blue scales, and seems to have a length of gray cloth wrapped around it. It's long enough to reach the ground from her waist, and is about as thick as her waist, although it tapers off to be thinner towards the end.

in 2015 i was very depressed and had a lot of growing to do as a person and undertale helped me through both of those things. at a time where i didn't know what my goals were, it also reinvigorated my love of character writing and storytelling. also it taught me what nonbinary people were lol

i was completely nonsocial in middle school and a lot of high school, and playing katawa shoujo was a very stark reminder for that me that empathy like... existed. it pushed me to realize that other people are people, which would still take me a while to fully comprehend. also image.

snuck into masterball late in the season using the #1 ranked team from last season. mega garchomp is funny because i feel like a lot of the strength was just bringing no item regular garchomp and still being able to mega floette. the extra power boost from mega chomp was good sometimes though.

August 31st: Man. Really incredible game. 300 characters isn't enough room for all my thoughts on it, but playing this had me thinking a lot about character writing and storytelling. Such a genuine, likable piece of art. I'll never forget the time I spent here, back in the summer of '75...

August 26th: Not much really happened today, though the endgame plot involving the treasure is... maybe? progressing. There's something inherently melancholic about getting towards the end of a game like this and seeing dialogue start to repeat and knowing the experience is nearing the end...

August 24th: A guy moved into a tent on the back and we spent the entire day lying to him and playing with his feelings. We also learned Boku knows what boobs are. The story is heating up in the last third and it's very funny Boku just understands none of it.

August 23rd: The most important thing to happen today is that we defeated the final boss of bug sumo and climbed Mount Totten. We're best buds with our cousins now. Our bond is unbreakable. Also we found some gold bars in the ocean but who cares, we don't need to tell any adults about that.

August 22nd: The teenagers are being cute together, Yoshika wore a pixellated bikini that would have made 10-year-old me go "whoa", and this very scary thing in the journal entry happened before dinner. Real genuine fear and concern. This game where nothing really happens has me by the balls.
