at *barely* enough to make rent, and yesterday slipped in bathroom and seemingly broke leg. if you can help, please do, i have insurance so this isn't instant death, but it's a "slowly reimburse if paid for at all" situation on orthotics and the like & being able to use the toilet by myself is nice

"Oh, dear, Ryuko," Tatsuko muttered, more to herself than Tora. "Don't tell me you lost it." She glanced over her shoulder to the samurai sitting by her lonesome and raised her voice: "Myōki!"

Myōki, who had clearly not heard a single word of the conversation in front of her, spat out her drink in surprise and un-slouched to look like she had been paying a modicum of attention. "Y-Yes, Tono-sama!"

"Bring the map."

Myōki, a mousy-looking thing utterly unremarkable other than the thick brass spectacles covering her eyes, stumbled to her feet (after sneaking in one last drink) and speed-walked to the table; she meekly took a seat to Tora's left and unfurled a map that had evidently been sitting somewhere on her belt.

"Kurogane-mura," Tatsuko said.

"Um..." Myōki's right index finger traced over the stained, faded parchment before snapping to a spot. "If we're here, then Kurogane-mura is... um..." She shook her head in shock. "A week's travel away, Tono-sama..."

Tatsuko's eyes trailed over the map for several silent seconds, blinking and frowning in frustration—before smacking the back of Myōki's head with an open palm. The spectacles rattled and nearly fell off her face.

"Ow—!"

"This map is upside down, moron."

"Oh...! R-Right...""

oh i guess now that Moonlight's been public for a few weeks i can finally mention that when i was getting art for them, i used viral as reference for ryu's hair and adiane as reference for tatsuko's hair lol
