This (post and thread) gets at what I meant when I said any evidence of machine consciousness in AI models would need to be separate from language and responses to prompts. Because we know those things have been programmed to mimic human consciousness.

I hate that this is the reality that's been forced on us but I agree. There are quite a few pros-turned-sloperators working & thriving out there. They usually aren't forthcoming with their audience, agents or clients. Pointing to someone's prolific pre-AI history isn't the be all & end all proof.

For a racing game I can rationalise the rogue-like elements as simulating an ever changing racing league, so in that sense it kinda’ makes sense? Though I get that it’s not for everyone. Heh, what problem couldn’t be solved by that honestly? xD And eh, just the times currently.

Sounds like a bit of burnout, exhaustion can often creep up on us, particularly if you’re working on one project for a while, you feel like you’re fine until you aren’t, and theres few worse feelings than that.

I use some words way too much, like “like”, idk why but it really bothers me when I notice myself doing it, same with “honestly” or “tbh”, “literally” too, but i think a lot of people also overuse that one. 😅 I’m not a social creature and sometimes I think it really shows. 😭

Its hard, because that voice that puts us down is a persistent one, its why I say art is like 20% skill/knowledge, and 80% stubbornness, but you’ve already done so much work, most folks give up long before this, I’m in awe at just how much you’ve done. ^_^

Try to take that day off, sometimes a little break is a big help, there’ll be that part of your brain that says you’re wasting time, but a much needed rest is the opposite of time wasted, burnout is the real waste.
