I work for a large school district. They are pretty reliable about pay. That’s not the concern here. I am just frustrated because many of my co-workers have received their deposits but my credit union won’t give me mine until Monday. This seems unfair.

Also the classroom plant situation is getting out of hand. Most of these are on deck for my classroom, except some of the pothos, which are for other people’s classrooms. Do I need to purchase more supplies for the care and feeding of the “free” plants? Yes. Yes I do.

Sometimes I feel really bummed that other people get invited to creative group projects and I don’t. Like, I realize that I seem like I am boring ass teacher but I have a degree in radio. I used to get in trouble for swearing in the studio. I was a fun person. Apparently not anymore.

Middle aged teacher advice: buy some good sneakers. Replace them regularly. If anyone tries to tell you they are unprofessional dress, particularly someone who would replace you if you died tomorrow, just ignore them. Get some lace locks. Be comfortable teaching.

My two months post surgery knee situation. I would love suggestions about helping those scars get a little less red but my other knee is still healing from where I scraped it in March so maybe knees just don’t heal fast.
