I mean this in all seriousness, this is a severely mentally ill & delusional person who not only should be removed from office under the 25th amendment, but he should be in a psych ward. This is pure insanity on so many levels. He lives in a fantasy world. He is unwell & has lost touch with reality.

I find there is a voluptuous sensation of sin to rereading - given the near-infinity of unread books with claims on your attention. Then again I am not rereading Kierkegaard, which still might be virtuous. It’s more like rereading some teen sf fave instead of first-time w/ Proust - pure indulgence.

Still In A Dream with Simon Reynolds | Culture File
Simon Reynolds has made a habit of writing books that offer to rethink the histories of popular music, such as Rip It Up and Start Again, his keywork on Post-Punk, and his story of electronic dance music, Energy Flash. Now, he's back with a highly personal history of the shapes of music from 1984 to 1994, from the hazy 'snowdrift' assaults of My Bloody Valentine, to the paraslacker aesthetics of The Smiths he calls Still In A Dream: Shoegaze Slackers and the Reinvention of Rock.
