Thanks! Although I was thinking more of something similar to the AT8010 a handheld ‘reporters mic’ which could be plugged straight into the USBc socket on a smartphone or a device that would connect to a smartphone via its USB with a socket to connect both the AT8010 and headphones.

We currently use Zoom H4Ns to teach basic audio gathering. They come in a kit which comprises of a set of headphones and one Audio Technica AT8010 So we teach audio monitoring and the use of gain. Not cheap and cheerful but something similar in price.

We just need one businessperson to set up a streaming service which pays artists and songwriters properly. As soon as all labels and artists refuse to stream on Spotify at al, they’d soon change their approach. Without any music to stream,Spotify is nothing.
