I was lucky enough to see the solar eclipse the other day. Here’s one of the photos I took, showing the solar corona, and (the red dot at nine o’clock), a solar prominence. It was a completely awe-inspiring experience. For a moment, I forgot everything and just thought, THERE’S A HOLE IN THE SKY!

I was born in Douglas but grew up in Onchan. I left to go to uni at 18 and stayed in the UK, but my siblings and father are still over there.

It is! Born and raised there.

I did get into Analog once, so that was cool, but some mags just seem to issue instant rejections.

It was my 28th rejection from the same magazine. I’ve had well over a hundred stories published here and there, but some magazines appear to be utterly impenetrable.
