The only way to properly show off your fantastic pebble collection is to set them in concrete. Make the random, uniform, defying nature. Actually, these are described as 'cobbles' in the architect's specification. It'll look nice when it's done, for sure x

7am at Stanton Drew on the 21st September the Druids are set to gather and celebrate. Could there be a better Monday morning this month? We both know the answer to that...
A menhir looms against the sky, its rocky face pock marked and weathered, discoloured by fine, close growing lichen turned dry, pale green and black by the remorseless summer. We sing and hope for Autumn rains to fall on the unquiet earth...

Walking over the dry earth with fading memories of rain. The sky greys as the sun sets. Water falls like music on tilted windows, bent to ease the cool air through rooms dusted with time. A dream arrives. You are still here, but you are gone...
A lone figure breaks the horizon at the end of sandy dry path between stunted dead grass. In the sky, the sun hangs like a blazing torch, between contrails, imitating clouds...

Stanton Drew stone circle has a mysterious pull to it. The circle sits on a gentle slope and reveals itself slowly as you approach from the village. The low hills rise up all around, and the horizon drifts above my head. The air is still. In the quiet, I hear low voices, whispers across time...

Dover is where the Deep becomes Shallow, & Narrow, where ships depart every half hour on an eternal rotation, a revolving pattern that somehow I enjoy, sometimes turning up & rolling straight onto a boat & into a seat, to watch the land diminish in one direction, & become a promise in the other...
A pedestrian walkway stretches off into the distance across the concrete apron of a dockyard. Lightd dazzle overhead in the darkening evening sky. Truck engines idle. Seabirds squabble. An announcement over a tannoy crackles reassurance that everything is under control. I doubt it.
