GLITTERATI - my new YA thriller, out with Penguin, March 2027. Imagine if a teen ‘Talented Mr Ripley’ lied his way into a White Lotus-like setting where the outrageous wealth on display can’t cover up dark secrets for long.

And that was my final school author visit of the season! I managed around 70 schools this academic year. I know it feels bleak out there, and it is, in many ways, but also know there are lots of kind, empathetic young people out there who want to fight to make this world better.

A very fun morning at the Tower Hamlets Book Award where FINN JONES was shortlisted. The kids performed pieces based on each book (fabulous!) and there was so much excitement in the theatre. So many library services working so hard in the UK to gets kids reading. Grateful to them all. 💛

I have tried to be World’s Best Nurse this week as the girls recover from their spay surgery. It’s been… challenging. And I haven’t written as many words as I would have liked. But these two mean the world and it’s so sweet how they’ve comforted one another during their recovery.

Recently found out that Llama Glamarama (my first picture book) has been put in the restricted section of another US library. It’s about a llama who likes dancing. And I hope it also shows kids that difference is nothing to fear - in yourself, or in others. Imagine restricting that. 😔
