This is probably oversimplifying things, but the remaining 3% of tickets for home games would bring in around £145k for 2200 tickets at £66. 13 home games in the diary at the moment, so call it £1.9m with a large chunk of that going back to ST holders if they’re returns. What’s the point? #MUFC

You’re not wrong, I’ve mostly bought through the face value groups this season and it’s saved me a lot of money. Did rely on returns before that though - can’t see regular members stumping up those prices readily. Big shame for those without ST connections etc.

There’s no way this tweak in prices fixes the holes in the clubs finance to any great degree, but it does alienate huge swathes of the fanbase. Another big misstep for an increasingly odious new football operations team.

From £25 to £66 for Under 16s is a piss-take that will price out younger generations for the rest of the season and beyond. Any other (half) decent area for atmosphere is up by £15-£25 too. It’s flat as it is, this will kill it completely.

Going of the club’s own figures, United members make up around 30% of the 76000 at Old Trafford every game. United have just stuck two fingers up at thousands and thousands of fans with these hiked return prices. This needs reversing now. #MUFC
