I’m not too sure what to make of this one, whether it was an interdimensional portal, or whether someone out walking clicked on ‘insert table here’ and just carelessly inserted it in the middle of the field 🤔
A photo of a gate, taken from a very fortuitous position where it appears very square and flat, resembling a table in a computer document, however this one is in the middle of a field (not edited!)

Lots of cuckoo action this morning over the marshes, and I managed to capture this flypast by 2 cuckoos, one calling as it went 😊☀️ #BecclesMarshTrail

Yesterday was exciting, walking the Gillingham Dam path. Herring gulls above, highly aroused, mobbing a female marsh harrier carrying what looked like a juvenile coot/moorhen. The harrier held onto its meal despite further pursuance by corvid. Photo for illustration purposes only #GillinghamDam 📷🦅

The bees are buzzin’ in the trees, to make some hon.. actually I don’t like honey that much. I wondered what all the buzzing was about, then looked up 😊 The next day, it looked like they had occupied the tree. The Merlin app also delivered me another garden warbler ☺️ #BecclesMarshTrail weekend

2 new footbridges as part of Beccles Marsh Trail. Otters regularly used the previous one to this (discarded to the left) for spraint marking. Will they use this one and the same way? 🤔 Oh, and the possibility of a buzzard nest…

I got ahead of the #otter, and set up waiting for it. It dived under before it came into frame, the ripples on the left caused as it went down. When it popped up, I think it had a fish. It hops onto the bank, has a quick shake and settles. Shortly after this it came down to the water for a groom 🦦

#otter moving swiftly downstream. I thought it was our presence that spurred it on, but after this it hopped up onto the bank a couple of times. Beccles Marsh Trail

A cormorant is sharing the perch with a heron this morning. Cetti’s warblers and Chiff chaffs are conspicuously vocal despite their discretion. A kingfisher has jetted upstream. Beccles Marsh Trail

Second sighting of #otter this morning, swimming right to left. I wonder whether this could be a second young otter. Waves still being generated on the left of the video, but I didn’t see two at once at any time River Waveney Beccles Marsh Trail. (Tilly was getting fed up!)

A nice encounter yesterday morning, I’d spotted this #otter on the other side of the river fishing its way upstream. I started videoing but it didn’t surface, however left a lovely bubble trail across the water to the near bank, and then off again 🦦😊

A nice encounter this morning. I saw this #otter approaching along the quayside, hopefully you can see its bubble trail as it swam past us submerged, and surfaced a bit further on and off into the sunrise 🌅🦦😊

A perfect subject for my first tw- -er post, a fresh looking, huge otter spraint in the usual place seen this afternoon. Very satisfying 😊🦦💩🥂
