The goal was to end US executions but we are truculent about our as @qgty.bsky.social put it retributive justice. The logical option is firing squad or gallows. Its harder than most think to get people to shoot and the later is messed up like this one is bluntly horrific

My understanding is that the law there requires a certain protocol. Thing is the drugs we use are hospital pharmaceuticals not made in the US and no one will sell them to us for use in executions . These are basically leftovers If we are caught diverting? No more drugs period and no more surgery

I would very much like to avoid this. The US is awash in weapons and such thing can get ugly.Assuming your side whatever that is can win is risible given our conditions and history. It could simply doom us all to unending war or destroy the union.

Less than 10% of the entire US economy was trade in the era of the great depression. A complete shutdown of all trade would have cause a moderate recession Bank failures stock market crashes and the dust bowl contributed far more. if anything trade is why American workers are impoverished now

This is a class issue mixed with elements of Mexico's old caste system. Also non Whites or even families with mixed members are often super racist or classicist in places like Texas California for example had Latino on Black ethnic cleansing not that many years ago.
