What level of yak shaving do you reckon this puts me at on this fine Saturday?

I think I might need to be more specific about what gets backed up. This is *just* my user directory clocking in at nearing 2TB.

Last week, ABC management took issue with the head of our union publicly defending the right of journalists to access information about who owns and runs companies. Why the ABC wouldn’t support that is unclear. The threat of disciplinary action raises further questions. / @meaa

for anyone who needs to hear this: outlook approves if you declare email bankruptcy.

Woolies claims in their Delivery Unlimited renewal notice that we've saved $2,264. But that didn't seem right so I just counted it up. We've had 13 deliveries in the past year. At $15 a pop, that's $195. And at $149/year for the subscription, that'd make a saving […] [Original post on bne.social]
A feedback form asking: What's your main reason for cancelling today?
Quality of fresh produce
Delivery experience
Substituted or missing items
Subscription cost
Minimum spend per order
Delivery times or options
Other reason
Other reason is checked with the note: Honestly? All of the above. But what tipped the scales is deceptive marketing in the renewal email.

[bad news; e-bikes] This is awful news, but good job to the Guardian for correctly assigning the actions to the rider (not to the inanimate object they were riding, as too often happens). #cycling

Not exactly what I'd call high quality visits though. No complaints though, I still think it's a cool idea and very much like that it exists, thanks @kagihq. And to be fair these stats aren't much worse than the non-kagi referrer visits.
Graphic showing bounce rate is 99% and average visit duration is 5 seconds.

elvery.net seems to have been added to Kagi's small web index (kagi.com/smallweb). 😳

Ugh, this is higher than ideal. I wish it were possible to fund the purchase of new storage without first screwing over millions of people to become a billionaire.

A bunch of websites I run now have Singapore as the top country for visitors and this curious pattern. I wonder where the bots live (and what time they're awake)? (This is from whatdoyousuggest.net — I can't imagine what the bots want with it, tbh.)
A chart showing day of week and time of day statistics for web traffic. There's a clear pattern of visits at 2am, 8am, 2pm and 8pm.

I continue to find normal words that are straight up missing from the macOS Dictionary.app. Unintuitively, the word unintuitive doesn't get a red underline even though it's not in the dictionary.
A search for the word 'unintuitive' with "No results"A screenshot of the composition of this post showing 'unintuitively' getting a red underline to suggest it's misspelled while 'unintuitive', despite being missing from the dictionary, is deemed fine.

I decided to individually log requests for non-existent content on elvery.net. This was a mistake but there is some gold in there. The script kiddies are alive and well.

Maybe because I'm not in Sydney but I have had trouble understanding the intensity of coverage around Kyle Sandilands. I get why it's interesting to people but the whole thing just feels disproportionate. Having said that, I feel this is worth a (short) story. Feels extremely embarrassing.
A picture of NSW Premier Chris Minns on Kyle Sandilands' new show. The studio looks makeshift and the vibes are not good.

Anyone know what this red dotted boundary is when you search 'brisbane' on Google Maps? Because it's definitely not the LGA.
